Here I am! :-)
Thanks for all of the good wishes. We had a
lovely wedding day. We are both very happy. I
look at Keith sometimes, and I can't believe that
he's my husband!
The Wedding Broads were a HUGE help at the
wedding and reception. You can always count on
them!
Since the wedding...
- My things just arrived yesterday, so my
computer was set up just last night. It was the
first thing to be unpacked. Today I worked on
the kitchen. We now have dishes and a
microwave. We are in business. I am even
making a loaf of bread in my handy new
breadmaker ... even as I type. Yum!
- I have painted, painted and painted some
more. If I don't have great biceps by now, I
never will.
- We now have hot water and a working
bathroom. Quick, knock on wood! This house is
old and hasn't had many repairs made to it.
- My car arrived on Thursday. I have been out
by myself twice ... always with my handy map in
my purse.
- Copper found her way UNDER the house! There
was a hole in the closet wall, so Keith's dad
could work on the plumbing. It didn't take her
long to find that. Thankfully, Keith's dad was
also under the house, working on the plumbing,
so he rescued her. She is not happy now that
the closet has been closed off!
- Yesterday, I was outside all day with the
mover marking off boxes and furniture. I am
pink from head to toe! The weather has been
nice .. about 75 and mostly sunny. I am SO glad
that I missed all that hot, hot Midwest weather.
- I have done TONS and TONS of laundry! I
can't believe how much more there is when there
are 2 of you! LOL
- We can see the Sea World tower from our
living room and front porch. Every night they
have fireworks at 9:50. It's so cool! we could
also see other celbrations for the 4th.
- Today was the first day that Keith wasn't
here with me. The day is getting a little long.
It's a little hard to believe sometimes that I am staying here for
good. I love San Diego. I love Keith and being
married, but I miss my family and friends very
much. Thank heavens for long distance plans and
email. <g>
