Checked in as soon as possible as all the Internet was down yesterday. Sorry my sister and I disappeared. So much for not having plans. We knew Mary Jo Putney was signing at the Wal-Mart in Germantown. When we were standing in front of TTP, we saw a real estate booklet. Found Germantown, and the store (TTP) was really crowded, so we thought we'd sneak off and try and fit in a double play. (is that a Wolfie category?)
Anyway took us a little while to find Wal-mart; we ran in and asked about the signing. Get to MJ and she has no one there for the signing. The W.M. people were so happy to see us, wanted to know how we found out about it. Had to tell them it was MJ newsletter. The poor woman was in front of the Dorito display. We had our books signed and chatted, and her friend, Susan King, stopped by, so we yakked some more.
And then it was nearly 3, so we hit the road back to TTP. Nora and Pat were only ones left when we got there. Nora suggested follow the food--knowing how much you all like to eat. Tried that and then tried to find the inn. Visitors' center was closed, and with no handy dandy real estate booklets, figured at that point you could be at dinner or almost anywhere.
Didn't know what to do, plus a little brain dead after a 4 A.M. day, so packed it in and headed home. Sorry I didn't tell anyone when we left and gotten more of the plan. Drove over four hundred miles and 7 states with that Harpers Ferry loop. Hope all was wonderful, will try again ...
Linda
