Ok, my version. and it's a long one since I have to do three days here:)
Friday: get to O'Hare, board the plane, "Ladies and gentlemen please excuse the delay, we seem to have lost our captain," wait an hour for them to get another captain, and then fly off to D.C. I get to Dulles and am hanging around the gate for my ride, Jennifer (jennwic1). After about ten minutes I see this little (at least little to me) redheaded woman coming down the hall and searching the gate a little frantically. Hesitantly I call, "Jennifer?" She turns. I introduce myself, and we're on our way. It's a nice trip up to Harper's Ferry, and we didn't get lost once!! We check in, and see Jean and J.B., but since Pam, my roomie, hasn't checked in yet, I go with Jennifer to her room to discover a mini-flood on the desk. After a bit, we head down to the bar to see if anyone else is there, but there isn't ( but we do meet Lloyd! what a character!). After some refreshing lemonade, we go back up to the room to rest. A fter a bit Pam comes knocking on the door! We get settled in our room and then head down to the Anvil (a local restaurant) to meet up with the others for dinner. That was a great time. I decided to conserve my money, so I got a desert instead of a regular dinner. Tortilla ice cream. Mmmmmm.... Nancy D. and Wym decided they wanted desert too after seeing that! We then head back to the hotel for the meeting at the bar! I brought Frango mints and Fannie May Trinidads. I got a few hairy eyeballs after people tried them, but hey they are my faves so why not share the addiction? It was fun seeing Nancy D. frantically searching for her Corona, and Ruth, new Tracey, and Wym getting constant refills from Lloyd. I think we should continue the gift exchange, but with a little more warning, so thank you to everyone who brought or sent something! We retired for the night after doing a lively rendition of songs from the 50's and 60's. ok, I'm thinking that I should continue this with another post since it's getting to be really, really long. So keep tuned for regular updates of TTP 3!
