Memories of TTP II (aka TTP's Third Anniversary)
Snapshots
- Tracey as Wym & Debby's "little surprise" on Thursday in
Danville -- being able to hug my dear buddies for the first time
in a year (Wym & Deb); hanging out in Jaci's hot tub!
- Meeting new BB/Ns on Friday (still red-face for KNOT guessing Ottis! ===:-O ...)
- Doing a FAKE tattoo w/Judy -- faking out the BB/Ns for the
weekend <ewg>
- The Par-Tay Room Friday night
- Everyone SCREAMING in unison when Biscuit (Ruth's dog) ran out
in front of a car
- Meeting new BB/Ns on Saturday
- Meeting Lisa Scottoline (not only is she a great lady, but she
a FABulous story-teller, too)
- Not recognizing MK at first (====:-O
... I only do a website for her ... she's dedicated
a book to me!)
- Catching up with Donna Kauffman again!
- Being able to hang-out with Gaff (the speed demon herself ;-)
... and find out some info about her new hardback (due out Summer
of '99)
- Seeing Elaine Fox again (another FABulous story-teller)
- BW inviting us to his photography show to see his work (great
stuff)
- The comedy of errors at Legends -- including being told we
weren't up to the dress code -- the mix-up with meals -- but more
importantly -- the singing, dancing, & laughing
- Being BUSTED for being too rowdy out on the patio by the pool
on Saturday night -- escaping to the lunchroom -- watching Nancy D
do BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! -- Wym serenading us w/us a special song --
being able to talk w/Wendy (for a LONG TIME! :-)
- Sunday -- it's all about NORA, NORA, NORA -- any time spent
with this incredible lady is both memorable and fun -- biggie,
though, was when Nora said to Tracey, "Tracey, you have NO ass!"
- The photo op was most excellent, too -- especially when
Debbie's dh "volunteered" to take pictures!
- Monday -- just being in D.C. w/my buddies -- I love D.C. -- to
share it with friends made it even more special; being able to see
the Korean War Memorial for the first time
- Tuesday -- "turn me off -- turn me on" -- LOL -- the memorable
voice on the tape that allowed us to tour Gettysburg; I have
always loved history -- to be on the hallowed grounds of
Gettysburg was most humbling
- Like Nancy, however, what I take away most from this EVENT is
the warmth & love & friendships nurtured & developed
... and oh, the laughter -- I wish we could bottle it!
