Because Jaci could not get down to Frederick until Saturday morning (someone had to run the store!), I told her that I would work Friday morning so that she could spend more time with the BB/Ns.

After they were able to get up & moving, they started their day with muffins from The Muffin Man! Then, all but Nancy headed over to Bloomsburg to check out the UBS there. What did Nancy do? Can we say, S-H-O-P?! She went searching for bargains in downtown Danville (and proudly found many).

By the time the others returned from Bloom, it was time to switch places with Jaci -- and then EAT! We headed to OIPS (Original Italian Pizza) -- where all broads fed themselves to the point of being STUFFED! Then, we ran a few errands (for me) -- went to my place so that I could pack -- and then we were on the road -- heading to Frederick, Maryland.

The most memorable moment of the drive down was when we stopped at this roadside convenience store so that Nancy could get gas in her vehicle, Bob. What do you do when you travel & you make a stop? You make use of the facilities, right? This place CHARGED a QUARTER for this privilege! The NERVE! Tracey & I were not going to use it (it was the principle), but Nancy came up with a free token (or so she says).

Once we arrived in Frederick & found the hotel (w/out too many problems) and put our stuff in our rooms, we headed out to the patio to see the BB/Ns! Ruth was there -- I was also to meet Phyllis, Judy, Lisa, & Ottis -- for the first time. I guessed everyone correctly except for Ottis (and she had on an ADWOFF t-shirt w/her name on it!).

After we gossip & gabbed for a bit, I asked Ruth if she was going to get the tattoo that she was talking about getting. Yepper. I, for reasons unknown to myself, was also giving serious consideration to getting a tattoo. Judy came along with us. The rest of the broads went to Pargos.

The first tattoo place we went to was basically booked for the night. Ruth thought she knew of a another place, so off we went. Once we found it, Ruth looked over the designs to see which one she was going to get.

Because I know that a tattoo is basically for forever, I looked over the selections very carefully. I was most interested in a wolf (in honor of ADWOFF :-) or a cool cat (for my three cats), but one thing I quickly learned was that tattoos are EXPENSIVE! Well, let me qualify that. They are more expensive than what I could afford for the weekend.

After Ruth received her tattoo, we decided to play a practical joke on the rest of the BB/Ns. We went to the mall & found temporary tattoos! I decided on Taz; Judy decided on flowers. We went to the drugstore & picked up bandages & cream (we wanted to make it real :-) ... and then went into the bathroom & applied our tattoos.

My Taz had a halo, so I jokingly used him as my theme for the weekend -- even though Taz is a devil, I was an angel. ;-)

After we were properly tattooed, we ate at The Ground Round. It was a pleasure getting to know Judy & Ruth.

We returned to the hotel to find out that the Par-Tay was already in full steam in Nancy & Tracey's room! Both Judy & I were able to convince everyone that Yes, we also got tattoos. Thus, I was on track for lying for the whole weekend!

It is hard to put into words just how much fun Friday night was. Edith brought along Dom Perignon -- which Nancy enjoyed immensely <ewg>, and other beverages were available as well. In addition, there was food. Lots of food.

While the party was happening, our board brawn, J, called! He must have set a record for phone sex! We also serenaded him with a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday."

Again, it is almost impossible to put into words the magic of the evening -- imagine, if you will, 17 women in ONE hotel room -- gossiping, gabbing, drinking, & eating.
