TTP II Memories from Arlene

Here is my recap of TTP 11 reunion.

July 10, 1998

Woke up early to get ready for the trip had coffee and breakfast and than washed my hair and was drying it when Edith rang my door bell I answered it and quickly finished drying my hair and dressed and we were off to pick up Vicky.

Headed down the Parkway to 78 and arrived at Vicky's about 9am she served us coffee and tea all made are rounds in the little girls room and went out to load Vicky's car with her DH Tom helping. We were finally off on the way we stopped for bagel coffee and cream cheese to bring with us .

We drove straight through to TTP and drop off the pasta bread and things we had for Nora and Ruth. While we were there quote unquote we bought the store out of all the books we wanted.

We later went for a late lunch with Ruth at the General Store next and were happily chatting until Ruth had to go back to work. We then drove to our hotel with Ruth's directions arrived safe and sound checked in went to our room settled in and then went out on the patio to relax and check to see if any other BB/N were around. We finally spotted some females walking the halls and low and behold we met Judy. Lisa, Ottis, Diane(Anonym2857)and maybe Debbie(Snowbear). At this point we were given our ADWOFF t shirts for the gathering remembrance of TTP II.

We finally went out on the patio and others showed up.

Sue, her sister Diane, Nina, Tracey, Nancy D and the conversations flowing was literally like a grand old family reunion <G>. We received nice little package from Nina, of chocolate, pin which had a nice little saying and playdoh NancyD gave out NASA pencils Sue let us pick from the bag and it turned out to be pencil erasers with different animal heads.

Later we all gathered for dinner and had a nice time chatting and taking pictures.

When finished all headed back to NancyD's and Tracey's room to chat and celebrate with DP and cookies and wine. Interesting seeing all the BB/Ns getting along and chatting and then the one and only board brawn called and was passed around to say hello to everyone. Finally the NJ Musketeers called it a night and went to sleep.

July 11, 1998

Woke up early took showers and head down for some coffee and pastry to wake up and get ready to have breakfast with Ruth and her mom at or near Ruth's place.

The convention of bb's finally of and heading towards TTP arrived picked up Ruth and some bb's went to see her apartment and her dog biscuit ran out the door and crossed the busy street and almost got hit by the car but was lucky and sped off and the slight delay everyone trying to see where biscuit went. Eventually we ended up having breakfast at the diner called Rena's and off to TTP for the book signing we browsed around some more and ended up buying more books and had them sighed by Pat Gaff, Donna Kauffman, and a few others .

After the signing we all headed over to the pizza parlor for a late lunch and chatting with one another some went to BW picture gallery display we the NJ Musketeers and Phyllis. Vicky , Edith and I all had headaches and just wanted to relax and chill out and maybe get a few winks to easy the headaches.

Nancy later called and wanted to know if we wanted to go to a lounge with dancing and have something to eat but we all said no and just ate light and read and relaxed the rest of the night.

July 13, 1998

The next morning we went for coffee and back to the room to shower and dress for our lunch with Nora. Only to later find out we missed a great get together and everyone thrown out of the patio area for making to much noise. <LOL>. We always make and impression don't we.

Finally we met at the assigned time of around Noon to head to the Bavarian Inn where we were to meet Nora for lunch. It was gorgeous and very much like the true Bavarian homes in the Alps also had a fantastic view.

We gathered and signed t shirts and finally Nora arrived and we went into lunch.

Nora greeted everyone and all we presented her with an album and other gifts and she was surprised. Everyone running around taking pictures of tables and Nora and enjoying meeting and chatting with the other BB/Ns We ordered lunch and everyone switched tables to chat and be with other BB/Ns and Nora.

Finally lunch and dessert was over and time to leave we headed outside to take pictures of everyone and Nora together Debbie (Frizzlet's) Dh was kind enough to takes at least a dozen pictures for all of us. We the NJ Division finally said good bye and hugging and kissing everyone with tears in our eyes we headed back through PA which cut and hour off our driving time to be home in about 4 1/2 hrs instead of 5 hours.
