Nora & Her Family
in the Caymans
Mom had a quiet evening at the hotel while BW, the kids
and I went across the street for Italian. Tonight our
waitress was from Costa Rica. The island seems to be its own
United Nations. Fabulous food, too. Penne with spicy tomato
sauce for me and Stacie. Seafood linguine for BW, pesto
fettacinni--that can't be spelled right--for Jason and
lasagna for Dan. We stuffed ourselves and had to forgo
dessert.
Walked down the road a bit and played a round of
mini-golf. I haven't played this since my kids WERE kids.
And it showed. LOL. Rather than sand traps this course had
gravel pits. I visited them fairly often. And narrow canals
snaked alongside of several greens. My ball was very clean
at the end. Palms and foliage crowded in on the sides so if
your ball was against the bricks that lined the greens, you
ended up putting from a jungle.
I scored the most points, which isn't the objective.
Jason, BW and Stacie tied, and Dan won--as predicted.
Back to the hotel for one last drink in the bar, then we
called it a night. Looking at a lazy day today. Stacie and I
are getting manicures and pedicures this afternoon. Couldn't
talk my mother into it. The guys are on their own.
