Did TV, did stock signings, then had a break in
the day so I could go back to the room and have a
little lunch. I got the pizza from the kid's menu.
LOL. Perfect size, and added a salad to be a good
girl.
Tower Books is about a 45 minute drive in rush
hour. Didn't remember doing this store before until
I walked in. It all came back to me. I remembered
how great the staff was, and what a nice time we'd
had the last time I was here.
We outdid ourselves this year. At their count we
had about 500 people at the event. Just amazing. I
did a Q&A, and this time when a reader asked
the pregnant Eve question I made her come up, take
the mike and explain why she wanted Eve to have a
baby. LOL.
Several men at this one, and again, lots of
family units. I love that.
It was too late and I was too tired to bother
with food when I got back to the hotel. Organized
for my early call, and dove into bed.
Up at six for the flight to Denver. All packed,
all ready, and I can't get a stupid bellmen. Haul
my big mama suitcase, my carry on and my laptop
down myself.
Flight was bumpy. Really bumpy. I tried to
pretend it didn't worry me a bit. Apparently it
worked, as we arrived in one piece and on time
where the wonderful Lisa was waiting for me.
Hit two stock signings on the way to the hotel.
The first was all ready for us, books pulled,
friendly, appreciative staff, helpful hands. The
second was clueless and had to be walked through
the process from start to finish.
But at the end of it I got to meet my pal Maggie
Osborne for drinks and a bite at the hotel. So
great to see her, and just hang out and gab about
stuff. Wonderful too when her Geo joined us for a
little bit before we had to part ways.
I've got the formal tonight at the Tattered
Cover, then a morning radio phoner, stock signings
and a formal in CO Springs. But enough time, I
think to enjoy this really wonderful suite.
Prettiest one on the tour so far. There's a big
peach Gerber daisy in a bowl on the bathroom
counter.
Little things just make me happy.
Seriously pretty rooms though in pale golds and
deep rose. Lots of windows, lots of counter space
in the bath.
Should hear soon how The Villa fared this
week.
