Nora's Report from Philadelphia (West Chester)
Flight into Philly was a mess. Delayed nearly an hour, then we circled. As a result, I was late for my first deal. But it was a stock signing, so not too bad. But it was around 3:30 before I got into the hotel, and no food until then. When room service arrived at 4, I pounced!
Quick change for the event at Chester County books. It's about 30 miles away, but traffic was incredible. And I have to say, the escort didn't seem pressured to push it a little. What was billed as a 45 minute drive at that time of day took an hour and 20. So I was late again. But not by much.
Wonderful crowd, fronted by the Philly area ADWOFFers. Such fun to see them! It's a great way to get the energy back up, as I was starting to drag a bit. I like signing in this store, find the staff so friendly, and the events so smooth. Blue Dahlia went on sale yesterday, so I could sign that, too.
Back to the hotel--could she drive over 50? Apparently not. LOL.
But I got in, got a good night's sleep.
Up for what was supposed to be one radio show, but turned out to be another. Same interviewer, but it won't fun until Jan or Feb, on Philadelphia Focus. Really good interview--lots of time to hit lots of subjects with a full 30 minutes.
Back at the hotel now. Going to have breakfast! Yay! Drive to NJ this afternoon where Liz will meet me. Then after the event, I head straight into NY. I'll be in the same hotel for the duration. What a comfort.
