Nora's Report from Seattle
Where was I? Busy days.
Started Monday off early with the flight to Seattle. Long flight, then the two hour time change. That'll wipe a girl out. Time to check in, dig out the right clothes, grab most of a burger, then head out. Stock signing for Amazon. What an operation!
Very nice signing in the evening at B&N. Everyone's so prepared this year, and so good about following the rules that keep me alive. A fun group with a slew of ADWOFFers. No question they were having a good time.
Back to the hotel to fall into bed after a bowl of soup.
Up early for TV. Lots of TV. Chilly and rainy, which was no surprise. Actually have time for a sit-down breakfast!! Publicity Heather is with me in Seattle--such a sweetie--and my escort, Joy, is a pro. The day is busy, but smooth. With lots of media and a stop at the Starbucks headquarters for the book event they do every week. It's great, what a nice program. I do a Q&A, sign books, and have a wonderful latte.
More TV, then time to pack up. Another bowl of soup will have to do before we head to the airport and San Francisco.
Plane's delayed about an hour. Oh well. The ride is bumpy. Seriously bumpy. And we have to circle about a half hour due to weather in SF. Nightmare flight, the sort than turn me inside out. SOOOO glad to touch down. The Alaska Air crew are quirky and fun though, and at least make the inconvenience and horror entertaining.
Time to sort out some clothes at the hotel for cleaning and pressing, then into bed.
Some media today, and two events. But a strong possibility of shopping time tomorrow!!!
