Laura's Report from Seattle
I got to P.F.Changs about 3:30. Our reservations were at 5, so to say I was early...well, you get the point. BUT Bellevue Square had these GREAT couches and a fire. So I sat and read. Then Ani, Susan & Nicki showed up (while I was in the restroom). Apparently I was supposed to meet them at Barnes, but since I had enough of a hard time trying to find Changs...well...
Let's see......Denise, Julie, Julie's Mom, Persephonie, Lori (Persephonie's Mom) & Riley then showed up and then we all went in and sat down to eat.
Then, Susan SIL showed up, then Chrystie showed up.
Ok, I think I got everyone. WHEW.
We had a GREAT dinner eating "family style". I was lucky enough to get to sit by Susan AND Denise. I even got to try some tofu. MO FU TO FU. Found out I didn't really care for it. But the broccoli was good.
We took lots of pictures (of Ani's wand) and then Ani handed out the tickets.
We all took off out of Changs to Barnes following Ani and her Wand. Which she held in the air and made sure we crossed the street safely. All we needed was a Preschool Rope so we didn't get separated! It was hysterical.
We stopped by Susan car and exchanged gifts, books, insults...the works.
Then we went in to Barnes. I think Ani and I musta been the most nervous. We ended up going in together and taking deep breaths while looking at each other. We were both so excited.
Ok, we who didn't buy our books earlier because I didn't know where Barnes was exactly and I didn't want to get lost, bought our books and made our way to where the signing was going to be.
Most of us were sitting on the floor (those who weren't smart enough to stand) waiting when FINALLY Nora was announced.
WOW!!! I couldn't catch my breath. I looked over at Ani and figured she was the same way because we both had this incredible smile on our faces.
So, Nora answered questions and then our ticket numbers were called to get inline for the signing.
Because of our wonderful Ani, we were the FIRST ones in line!!! 1.Susan, 2.Ani, 3.Me, 4.Julie...etc...
We even got to have our pictures taken with her. It was sooooooo great! My boob (the huge thing it is) got in the way...I'll never wash it again!!! Ok, I will...but that's the way I feel.
Nora is so funny, gracious, wonderful, everything I imagined and more!
I am so thankful for her publishers or whoever for FINALLY getting her out here and for all the Adwoffer's (and family) that came and made this such a WONDERFUL almost religious experience for me!
I don't think I've EVER been this giddy!!! It was GREAT!!!
Oh, and in case you don't hear I'm no longer blonde. I'm back to my dark brown hair! Got a lot of "you're supposed to be blonde" comments last night. It was FUNNY!!!

OMG! I totally forgot to mention ADAM!!! He was our waiter. YUMMY!!! Lars, my dark hunter, just got a new butt...it looks like Adam's now. WHEW! H-o-t-t-i-e........schwang........
