Nora's Report from Baltimore
Long day, starting early with a 6:30 morning show. Two TV, three radios and a print. Then some down time, organizing time. A late lunch.
Publicity Kristy is here with me for the event, and the lovely Lottie is my escort. We're off to Annapolis for the signing at Borders.
What a crowd! Looks like DisneyWorld. The store is exceptionally organized for this, and do a terrific job. We're had to tighten the rules, eliminating the books from home and limiting the signed books to Putnam or Berkley/Jove. And still the event takes over three hours. I'm told they sold 575 copies of Northern Lights alone during the signing.
People were wonderful, so patient and cheerful despite the wait--and very understanding that I couldn't do greetings in the books.
Dropped into bed. Up early for my Dallas flight. Weather's chilly in Baltimore. It's reporting 78 in Dallas. Looking forward to that.
