I am in the middle of moving my Mom to New
Orleans (look out Whann) ... and sending my son to
Paris ... and they put my girlfriend in the
hospital yesterday with a severe foot infection ...
but I brought my friends Eileen & Laura from
work and Laura's mother and we trekked over to
Staten Island (which is a different country from
Jersey)...
I bought two books for my husband's friend and
we all got in line. Of course we were only allowed
to get 2 books signed and I had bought 5 older ones
for Nora to sign (I thought about you Diane and was
thinking about making a big scene in the store but
I was good).
I introduced Nora to my friends...asked her if
Bruce was with her (she said he was staying with
her) ... gave her some Diet coke and m&m's ...
had her sign my 2 books ...
I gave her a hug (from all of us) ... I thought
she looked tired but she is holding out ... she
said she was going home Sunday ... In the mean time
we had our pic taken by the local newspaper and the
reporter asked me my name ... so I am famous.
Okay, Nance fashion report: Black shoes not sure
what kind ... black gabardine blazer ... blue
periwinkle blouse ... black pants (Nora said the
uniform) but she had on a beautiful half moon pin
with a star.
Nora is the best ... she always makes you feel
comfortable and I was so glad to see her.
