A long day, but with some breaks. Feeling more
myself tonight.
Alarm didn't go off--probably I forgot to turn
it on. Oops. Woke up at seven, and had to be
downstairs at 7:30. Moved very, very fast. LOL.
Made it. Morning TV, then a print interview back at
the hotel, then a short break. Then a stop at
Amazon.com. Pretty cool. Chatted, signed books, did
a quick stock signing at a B&N on the way back
to the hotel.
Ate lunch in the solitary and silent splendor of
my room, then stretched out and watched/dozed
through a really, really bad made for TV movie.
Cleaned myself up and went down to the bar for a
quick drink.
Guy there, obvious regular. Exec type. Used to
be a commercial fisherman, I believe. A gay
commercial fisherman, he tells the bar lady, and
me. Now works for fishmonger.com. LOLOLOL. What a
world we live in that there is something called
fishmonger.com. Alive, alive, oh.
Drove out to Third Place Books--recognized it
immediately. Signed there last year. Terrific
place. Did stock, had a DP, did the Q&A on
their stage in front of their cafe deal. Fun crowd,
and some familiar faces.
Back home now and will treat myself to a room
service hot fudge sundae. Yay, team! A pot of tea,
then beddy-bye. Many prayers requested that Alaska
Air flies uneventfully to Spokane tomorrow.
