Fine day today. Lovely, lovely weather here, and
I got a good night's sleep in a quiet, undisturbed
room.
Did two radios--in the first, live, the guy
asks: So what made you set this book during the
Depression?
Um....I didn't. LOL. But we pulled it out.
Had time for a great lunch--spaghetti!--between
radios. Elizabeth was wonderful. Took great care of
me, made sure I had smokes and caffeine. Then onto
the signing. Good crowd, good store. My impression
was they weren't expecting that kind of crowd--not
just the numbers the type. A fun crowd. I could
tell the staff had a good time with the event.
Back to the hotel, watching Mt. Hood and Mt. St.
Helens, looking at all the blooming flowers and
trees.
Changed into sweats and a tee-shirt, organized
my luggage for tomorrow's flight. Ate a couple
cookies--yum. Iced down some champagne, ordered a
pizza, and got horizontal. Gonna stay that way
pretty much until bed time. Hitting the sack early
because of fall back tonight.
Portland treated me much better than
SF.<g>
