Hello All,
Here it is. Please excuse grammar and
punctuation. I'm still asleep.
Our Trip to See Nora
Got up early yesterday (about 7am). We were
supposed to leave at 10:30 so that we could spend
some time shopping and just looking around. But, I
was going with Christina. First rule is you never
leave on time.
She calls me at about 9 o'clock and says she has
to get some stuff done to the car first; she'll be
over in a little while. Okay, no problem. She shows
up about 2pm. All I'm hearing is "I'm sorry" over
and over. I tell her not to worry--as long as I'm
there by 6pm she can live.:-) And since Christina
drives like the wind and it's only a two hour stint
for a normal driver, we should be there by no later
than 4 o'clock.
We find the store right off. And decide since we
now know our destination to get something to eat.
We eat and head back to Wal-Mart. We already have
half of Nora's gift. A "Dammit Doll" for any
further frustrations on her tour, and we now have
to get her chocolate. We end up getting big bag of
M&M's and Hershey Kisses. We've now go to get
in line. We're about 10th. And we wait for Nora.
It's about five until six and she arrives. We
know this because the first person we see in her
little entourage is BW. I mean he's kinda hard to
miss.:-) Then we see Nora and Liz. She settles
right in and get down to business, and in no time
it's our turn.
Chris is first. She doesn't say one word, she
says six.:-) All of which have to do with what she
wants signed in the two books she has.
Thought--Nora does keep looking at her like, do
I know this girl? So I move in and start
chatting about how I have to look at what she's
wearing for my report back and how we saw her at
TTP last year. I think the light bulb went off
because she stopped glancing at Chris and asked
were we coming back this year. I said most
definitely and that we would see her there. I hand
her her gift. I must say that by the time we got to
her the chocolate was redundant. She already had
two big bag of M&M's. But she really liked the
doll and named it Liz. "So when I gets frustrated I
can take it out on Liz," she says. Then we say
good-bye and leave. (It was that or risk injury;
the ladies behind us were getting a little
impatient.)
Now the good stuff. Fashion report. Please keep
in mind I know nothing about fashion. Our Nora was
wearing all black. She had on a black (silk?)
jacket, a black blouse and pants and the shoes were
flats also black and suede I think. We took
pictures so you'll be able to see for yourself.
That's all folks.
