Well my big day getting to see the Queen was
today! It was a beautiful day and a great event.
There must have been about 100 people or so at the
signing.
Nora arrived about 1/2 hr before the scheduled
start. She surveyed the set up and visited with the
clerks for a few minutes before they whisked her
off to room to await the start. I am happy to say,
they did have a nice array of J.D. Robb as well and
CM and older NR books available in the events area.
Nora was in black slacks, black top and very
nice herringbone (kind of) jacket, with black suede
flats. I apologize here, because I am not by any
ways or means a fashion expert....I will leave that
to the other Broads who were in attendance! I think
there were several!
Nora graciously and humorously answered about
1/2 hour of questions. She seemed to be very well
rested and suffering no ill effects from the San
Francisco fiascos. When I got up to have my books
signed and give her a small gift of chocolate and
homemade lemon cookies, I told her how much I
enjoyed reading about her experiences on tour on
the ADWOFF site. She asked if I was on the boards,
and I told her Sanctuary. She asked me to make sure
and tell everyone hello and that she misses us.
It was truly a pleasure to meet her again. It
was on her tour last year that I learned of this
board and have truly appreciated the joy I have
gotten out of getting to know all of you during
that time.
Okay enough already. I will close for now and
let others report what I have missed.
