Ack! Neiman-Marcus is CLOSED on Sunday. Oh, it is to weep.

Dallas has no idea they've missed raising their gpn. I think I have a couple hours free on Tues. Will make up for this.

I'm going to see if there's anything else close by, get out for an hour and let them clean the room. Then I'll just come back, hunker in and write. That's a decent deal.

Have two bags of dry cleaning being picked up.

A little too nippy today to sit out and enjoy my lovely terrace. A shame.

There's pizza on the room service menu. A silver lining in every cloud.

Massage ordered for five o'clock. Better and better. I can actually hear my neck and shoulders creaking and grinding.

Woo hoo!! Morning TV done. Always like doing Good Morning, Texas. Then I had 90 minutes in Neiman's. Kicked butt.

Armani isn't doing a lot of skirt suits this year, but I got a GREAT jacket. Sort of a tweedish, grays and blues, faded out on a beige background. The material is thin and soft, almost paperish. I will wear it to death. Snazzy sort of silk ice blue suit in Escada. More elegant, longish jacket, short skirt. Then this French designer--Phillippe Asdar or something. Anyway, very cute jacket and skirt, more casual in a kind of color that's not quite mustard yellow, not quite pea green. Also got a pale yellow boy shirt, then a nice black every day purse and some cosmetic supplies. No shoes. Big bummer there. They didn't carry Magli, and I didn't like anything else enough to commit shoe adultery.

Have a radio phoner coming up, then an off site newspaper interview--and probably time to catch a bite to eat before the signing.

If every day was like this one, I could do this for six weeks without strain.
