Win the Face the Fire ARC!

So, you've read Dance Upon the Air and Heaven and Earth and you're

waiting for Face the Fire, huh? How would you like to be one of the first to read the third in the trilogy? How would you like to be able to read it BEFORE anyone else?

You can—if you win the ARC contest currently happening at the ADWOFF Messageboard Community.

Here are the rules:

You must be an active member of the ADWOFF Messageboard Community
You must "introduce yourself" to the community.
IF you've selected an avatar, you must "register it."
You must correctly answer a trivia question.

You must be an active member of the ADWOFF Messageboard Community

Since Nora has given ADWOFF an ARC to be given away, it only makes sense that you be a member of the community. Signing up for the ADWOFF Messageboard Community is a relatively simple process, but if you have problems, just e-mail me @ ADWOFF@aol.com.

Being "active" simply means that you're posting—it doesn't have to be a lot; it doesn't even have to be each day. It just doesn't seem fair if you sign up, win the ARC, and then are never heard from again.

Go to http://adwoff.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi to sign up for the board.

Please know that your e-mail address is kept private, and that you may choose whether or not to receive e-mail from ADWOFF. The mailing list is NOT sold—and never will be.

You must "introduce yourself" to the community.

Once you've signed up, it only makes sense that you let people know who you are. We currently have a thread going at this address—http://adwoff.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=000204.

Why introduce yourself? Any time you go into something "new," you will often feel like an outsider. The best way to break the ice—to become a part of the community, is to allow us to learn a little bit about you. There is a simple questionnaire you may follow, or you may do your own thing.

IF you've selected an avatar, you must "register it."

What's an avatar? Go to this address for a little more information: http://adwoff.com/registeravatar/. Why "register" a picture? Well, the more you hang out at the board, the more you begin to associate the graphic with the poster.

If you are already a member of the community, you may already have your avatar registered; here's how to check:

Right click on your avatar.

Select "Properties" at the bottom of the pop-up page.

Look for the URL next to the Address

If your avatar is registered, you should see a URL that looks like this: http://adwoff.com/ubb/avatars/custom/yourmembernumber.gif (graphic might end w/.jpg, too)

If you don't see "custom" AND your member number (there will be zeroes in front of this number), then your avatar isn't registered. Simply post in this thread, and it will be taken care of by Sue: http://adwoff.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic&f=10&t=000117; if you have your own graphic you'd like for your own avatar, send it to ADWOFF@aol.com—be sure to put something relating the the messageboard in the subject field!

If you choose not to have an avatar, don't worry about this part.

You must correctly answer a trivia question.

All four steps must be completed to be eligible (most of you have already done steps 1 through 3!).

Why am I asking you to jump through all these hoops to be eligible for the ARC? Could it be I'm tired of

about getting some things done? Nah!

It's mostly because I believe these things to be important to the ADWOFF Messageboard Community.
