Lexington to Cincy, April 4-5, 2002

Nora leaves Lexington; heads to Cincy

Bust out signing at Joe-Beth's. I love that store. Everything very smooth, lots of fun. But when it was over, I was ready to drop. Just worn to the bone. Drive to Cincy, check in, press jacket and pants for next day. Get wake up call for--gak--5:30 a.m. Horrible. Horrible. Into bed just after midnight.

Cold here. In the thirties in the morning. Brr. Over to do morning show, then drive to do radio. Back to hotel for 40 minutes to organize a little, then off to next radio. From there signing at Meijer's. Wonderful crowd, lovely staff. Very smooth. Signed my fingers off.

Meanwhile, I'd called NY to tell them I was ready to abandon ship. LOL. Just can't take any more 16 hour days on 5 hours sleep. They cancel an afternoon radio gig. Thank God. And I'm back at the hotel for an hour's rest. Just ordered some food. Will now eat, fix myself up again, maybe have a drink, then head to the Joseph-Beth here for tonight's event.

Not so early tomorrow, and a trip to Dayton to one of my favorite stores, Books and Co.

I love my suite here, and I'm ridiculously happy to know I don't have a car trip tonight, can sleep in the same bed, and luxuriate soon on Sunday, my whole day off.
