After a lot of
thought, ADWOFF has decided to give this
R.O.A.R.K.E. out to a group of ladies instead of an
individual. Now, this group is not just
any group.
Oh no. They are ladies who keep us on our toes.
They have high expectations. They demand results.
And nine times out of ten, they get them. Not just
because they may be a tad bratty
... OH NO. Never that.
<ewg> But because we know that if we don't do
as they desire, they will declare WAR. And every
Noraholic knows that the best defense in time of
war is make love ... and since we ain't gonna
do it with them (yes, even we have our standards
;-), we do the next best thing.
We give them want
they want!
In case you are
absolutely clueless as to who we are talking about,
they are none other than a group of ladies who
refer to themselves as the Brats.
Why on earth should
Brats get a R.O.A.R.K.E.? (Especially with the
above criteria?!) Mostly because they are Brats in
name only (don't let their exteriors fool you;
inside, they are regular marshmallows ;-).
Seriously, the reason ADWOFF sees the Brats as
R.O.A.R.K.E. worthy is simple: they epitomize what
being a Noraholic ... and, dare I say it?, Broads
are all about ... they are extremely loyal to one
another ... they are absolutely passionate about
Nora and her stories ... and because of their
connection, they have stayed together
despite a lousy ADWOFF chatroom (where they met)
and a lousy ADWOFF messageboard.
They are the Internet
connection of readers (i.e. non-AOL users) who love
Nora--and who connected with Broads via ADWOFF ...
thus, they have added new blood <ewg> and
passion and commitment ... which more than anything
out there will help to keep ADWOFF alive as we go
into the new century. It is because of them that
ADWOFF became inspired to find a better chatroom, a
better messageboard.
Is there any wonder
that when we look beyond the exteriors and get to
the interiors that we see just what these Brats are
all about? In addition, in this edition of ADWOFF,
read their reports from TTP III ... and above all,
read their Brat
Introduction.
I think it will be easy to see why ADWOFF believes
these Brats--Tonya, Robin, Lisa, Maria, Nan, &
Shelley--are so very worthy of receiving
R.O.A.R.K.E. recognition.
