Thanksgiving 1997
I love the holidays. It is a time for each of us
to look within and reflect on what is important to
us. This holiday is no different. In fact, it may
be better than ever.
Because I can, I will. <VBG> I want to
thank each and every one of you for giving me the
inspiration for ADWOFF ... I want to thank all of
the contributors to ADWOFF ... We really didn't
know what we were getting ourselves into last
April, but it sure has been a lot of fun, hasn't
it?
I want to especially thank Nina ... Wym ... my
buddy, my pal. Remember your promise to me. You're
going to start to work on your writing again. Wym,
you have a great story idea ... be true to it ...
have faith ... have confidence ... and let it
happen. So many of us are chasing our dreams right
now --- don't give up on yours because of a few
set-backs. You are waaaaay too talented.
Then there's Nora's favorite blonde. Sorry,
Jaci, but Wym is mine. I guess I'll have to call
you my favorite bitch. <ewg> For months we
joked about when would I come to Danville to work
for you ... well, I don't know who the joke is on,
but it's reality now. Here I am. Jaci, you and your
family have been so wonderful to me/for me. Thanks.
I needed this change ... and without your help and
support ... and willingness to gamble ... it
wouldn't have happened. Thanks again! <g>
And how about my cyber-daughter, Sweet, Sweet,
Sweet Jenn. Sometimes I wonder who's the daughter
& who's the mom ... because this young lady is
something special. She has such a wonderful heart
... such a wild and untamed spirit ... I think
Jenn's greatest gift to me --- to each of us --- is
that she makes us feel so young and alive. BTW,
gang, be sure to wish Sweet Jenn a happy birthday
on December 5. She will be a quarter of a century.
Methinks the rest of the century is in trouble. :-)
I want to thank the rest of my TTP family ---
Sis, Carolyn, Tracey, Debby, Wendy, Nancy, Joan ---
Melinda, in our hearts --- especially Nancy &
Debby --- ... ladies ... you are a super special
bunch. I love and care about all of you so very
much. Every time I think about what we shared this
past July, I grin from ear to ear. When I think of
our mini-reunion for Nora's birthday, I grin from
ear to ear.
And how about our BB/Ns family at Sanctuary?
Does it get any better, ladies? We have truly
become a family together. We share are trials and
our tribulations. We laugh and cry and hug and
shout and yell and whine and brag and ...
And how about my favorite slut in the whole wide
world? Pat ... when's your next story coming out? I
can only hope that as the next year goes by, I'll
get to know this wonderful, caring, hysterically
funny lady better and better. BTW, it's Ms. Pat's
b-day on December 26 ... I think we have to do
something to show our appreciation for her
wonderful, wonderful heart and humor.
And then, there is The Legend. Nora. What more
can one say? She is the reason we're a family. She
is the reason for Sanctuary. She is the reason for
BB/Ns. She is the reason for ADWOFF. Nora, I
glanced at a review of Sea Swept @
amazon.com ... the reviewer was absolutely amazed
that you "did it again." Created another
masterpiece. I don't know how you do it. I'm just
glad you do! <g> You create worlds for us to
escape into ... and you show time after time after
time, how generous you are with your time, your
talent, your words. From the bottom of my heart,
thank you.
As the person who puts ADWOFF together, I am
able to go off on tangents ... you can either read
or click the arrow to move on. It is your choice
... and it's great to have them!
Christmas is rapidly approaching. I would like
to give each of you the same opportuntiy that I
have given myself ... write a heart-felt message
that you'd like to share with Nora ... with our
Sanctuary family ... etc. You say you can't write?
Hogwash! Sure you can! Look inside your heart and
let it speak for you. You'll be surprised at what
you'll find. <g>
