Seeing Dreams Come True

Have you made it this far with me? You're probably beginning to think, No wonder this issue never hit cyberspace ... Sue wouldn't shut up!

Well, it's like this. You can always click the BACK button and leave! =:-O But I'll hope you'll stay because I want to talk about dreams ... and seeing dreams come true.

THE Event @ TTP was like a dream come true for all of us. It was such a fabulous time. But more importantly, I now have a bond with nine other women from all walks of life, from all over the nation, that will last a lifetime.

Chance would have it that Nora was launching her third DREAM book just in time for TTP's second anniversary, Finding the Dream ... (GREAT stuff! :-) ... the whole DREAM series was fun to read, fun to see Margo, Kate, and Laura chase their dreams and make them reality.

Two of our very own broads are or have been launching dreams of their own.

Throughout the summer, we followed the ups & downs of Jaci's quest to open That Bookstore in Danville ... she had a dream, a dream that most of us could relate to because of our own love of books --- she wanted to open her own bookstore.

Dream became reality for Jaci the weekend of August 23, when she opened the doors of That Bookstore in Danville for the first time. I was able to share in the magic of that weekend. And as many of you know, I want the magic to continue. It is my dream/our goal to get me up to Danville to help Jaci/work with Jaci at making her dream a SUCCESS beyond our wildest dreams!

Jaci, you've done good <VBG> ... this broad and your fellow broads are so very proud of you.

Jaci does have a website ---> That Bookstore in Danville

She will handle special requests ... if there is a book out there that you're trying to find but can't, e-mail her at

The other dreamer? Who else?! Wym! Many of you know that she is attempting to get a story published; if/when that happens, we'll have to have a par-tay! <VBG> There is yet another dream that Wym is pursuing ... and that is hunting down those hard-to-find books.

Here is what she told me:

So, I guess I just wanna say that I'm open for business. I have some VERY HARD TO FIND collectibles from Ann Maxwell, Julie Garwood, Jayne Krentz, Jayne Castle - I shudder to mention Nora because so many people are looking for the MacGregors, and it's challenging trying to find them. With the Brides coming out, the pesky family is in hiding. Actually have too many books to list - and a network of "scouts" always searching for more.

People can send a wish list - I answer whether I have a book or not, and fill them as I get them.

So many of us have our own dreams and "wishes" for what we'd like to try to accomplish. But they remain just that: dreams and wishes. I admire Jaci and Nina so much for chasing their dreams. ADWOFF will continue to track their success (and yes, ladies, you WILL be successful).
