Did anyone catch this on opening weekend? My husband was so gleeful over this one that he was like a little kid and couldn't wait.
Awesome special effects, great lines, like, "we're going to need a bigger plane." They all did an awesome job on the movie. Acting, special effects, things blowing up.
But it seriously makes you stop and think about a lot of things in general.
You cheered for the good guys and wanted to kick the bad guys out of the movie.

Yeah, I enjoyed the movie. The special effects were awesome. It was a LONG movie but fast-paced. Enjoyed seeing John Cusack again. Haven't seen any movies with him in them recently. Gotta say he has aged well . . . .

I enjoyed seeing it on the big screen, for the sake of all the special effects and huge explosions and fun stuff like that. And, of course, John Cusack in a movie is always a Good Thing. However, I don't think I'll be re-watching it. For me, this is like pretty much all of his recent movies... the explosions conceal the fact that there's just too many holes in what should be a well rounded storyline.  But hey, I didn't go for the storyline so I'm satisfied I definitely got my money's worth at the movies!

Saw the movie with the girls yesterday. Great movie. Our Russian Exchange student loved the part where the Americans say "big plane" and Yuri says "its Russian". As everyone else has said its fast paced and we didn't even realize it was as long as it was (2 1/2hrs). John Cusak was great and it brought up a lot of ethical questions. The end of the world is supposed to be on my dh's 49th bday, so I told him here's what's going to happen that day, lol.

We just got back from seeing this and loved it. We always love movies with great special effects and this movie has them galore!
We were cringing and groaning and moaning and making so much noise people were probably hating us but it was worth it.

My DS and I rented the DVD today. Scared the ever livin' crap outta me!!!!!! But then I'm a sucker to my imagination so getting to sleep tonight should be a joy!  It was a good movie. Special effects were amazing. Won't watch it again though ... one go-round was enough for me.
