I personally prefer the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. If you haven't read it, I'd read those first. They've got romance but also really good plot. The Breeds are good as well but their plots are sub par compared to the BDB books, imo.

I just saw it on Lora's website that the next Bound Hearts book will be about Khalid and the one after that is Sebastain and Alyssa's story.
I don't recall who Alyssa is, was she in one of the books?
Thanks!

Alyssa was introduced in Shameless. She's the one who helped Courtney make Ian see that she was ready for a menage with Khalid (by doing various things with her in the Club for Ian to walk in on ).

I just read Wild Card. Looking forward to Risa's story in Maverick, which is also in my TBR pile.

Excerpts are up for Guilty Pleasure (Khalid and Marty's book), Nauti Deceptions (Rogue & Zeke's book), and A Christmas Kiss in Hot for the Holidays (Hawke & Jessica's book) on Lora's website. I'm really looking forward to Guilty Pleasure. I wonder who the third will be? Does anyone know? www.loraleigh.com

I didn't read the last Nauti book, but I want to read this one. The Heroine of this story always interested me whenever she was in a scene.

I really enjoyed Lion's Heat......I do get a little tired of the wishy-washy heroines though. Over all it was a good read.

It looks like the Breed books are going hardcover starting in 2011. Navarro's Promise is listed as hardcover on amazon.
I definitely don't like Lora Leigh's writing enough to fork out the HC price. I wonder how long the wait will be between HC and PB. Some authors it's over a year and others just 6 months or so.

I love Lora Leigh but I'll be waiting for pb. As I've stopped buying hardcovers generally (by any author!)

Navarro's Promise turned up in my recommendations and it's no longer listed as a hardcover, it's just a regular paperback so I'll be preordering it soon. As for JD Robb and JR Ward, since I don't read either any longer I don't have to worry about hardback prices. Found a description for Styx's Storm: To save innocent, young Storme Montague from the claws of Breed slave traders, Wolf Breed Styx is forced to claim her himself-on the condition that Storme will no longer be a virgin by night's end. And though Storme's defenses are up, Styx will free her-in ways she never expects.

Lora says in her blog that she has ideas for 25 more Breed books and more keep coming to her all the time. That's a lot of books for one series considering there are already 15 full length novels in the series and 6 anthologies. That's almost too many books, in my opinion. So far the only really long series that hasn't started to bore me after 20 books or more is the In Deaths. (Blame Roarke for that ). Once I read Cassie's story, I'll be happy. Though it sounds like her book won't be out for quite awhile. I'm honestly tempted to stop buying her Breed books. I never really re-read them, and they often seem too similar to previous books in the series. They drag on and on in parts too. I still enjoy her Nauti series and Bound Heart series though.

I just got a shipment of books that included Nauti and Wild (Nauti Kisses by Lora Leigh and Riding the Edge by Jaci Burton). I hadn't realized until I opened up the book and read Lora's dedication that Nauti Kisses is the last in the series. Sad day.
