September 1/2....Labor Day weekend
September 8/9
September 14/15 (doesn't work for me)
September 22/23 (also isn't good)
September 29/30

So, there are three weekends which work for me, either day. What are your 'druthers? And then we need to decide on Saturday or Sunday.

Debby

Red Satin Panties? Lora! I offered! LOL! Mwahahahahaha! But shopping sounds like fun!!!

All out for me. Looks like the only good one would be 8/9. But if one of the others works best for the group, I'll catch up in December.

Only the 22nd/23rd are out for me. The last weekend would be the best, but I could make do on the 8th/9th.

Rather than start a new topic, I'm going to use this one to see if any NJ/PA Adwoffers--or even people from further away--want to get together for the New Jersey Romance Writer's Association's "Put Your Heart in a Book" bookfair on October 6, 2007. I read that guest speakers at the conference are Karen Robards, Julia Quinn, and Sherrilyn Kenyon--so hopefully they'll be at the book fair, too.

Annual NJRWA Conference
Sheraton Hotel
515 Route One South
Iselin, NJ 08830

Bookfair open to the public on Saturday, October 6 at 4:30pm

We could go for lunch before the signing or dinner after. We have plenty of time to plan this, but I thought I'd share the date now. \:\)

Regarding Maggiano's... how about the weekend of September 8/9? If this is okay, then we will need to pick Saturday or Sunday, and then what time. If you are interested in shopping afterwards, we could eat earlier to allow for mall time.

Robyn....yep...we are planning on attending. It was a much easier choice this year due to no conflict with TTP. I know that Jenn and Lora are going....probably Shell...and I think that Laura was also interested. They made me put it on my calender in permanent marker, just to be on the safe side! \:\)

Well as far as I can tell the weekend of the 8/9th works for me, i'll let Lisa know and see if she has anything going on.

I am most definitely in for the NJWRA conference, hopefully Terri can make it again, not sure if anybody has contacted her or not. Just a thought since her house was a good meeting place last time.

See y'all in September!!

Or another thought, since September appears to be so incredibly busy... sometime in October as an alternative? Of course, for me, I am only available October 13/14 or 20/21 due NJRWA the first weekend and a family vacation with the munchkins to Williamsburg the last weekend.

Debby - September 8th or 9th is a good weekend for me (us). We really really like to go to church on Sundays, but we can skip one now and again.

And I had already planned to go to the NJWRA conference, but now we've changed our renewal of our vows to the 8th of October, so that's going to be too much for one time. Boo hiss. I thought it was going to be in November. Oh well. There's always next year! I'm really enjoying being a member of the Washington Romance Writers. I just did an excel project for the membership committee and I think I went blind for a day or two - haven't been using excel for a long time, so it was good to get some skills back!

I'll have to check in more often as I haven't been on ADWOFF in ages. Time slips away. And then there are the migraines that have been killers lately.

So, do we have any sort of head count for who would be interested?

Well, interest so far is pretty pitiful....only six have voiced a desire for Maggiano's. Well, seven, since it was Jenn starting it.

Date?
Saturday, September 8th?

Hopefuls:
Debra
Nicole
Debby
Lora
Laura
Michelle
Jenn

That is sad. It's a nice little intimate group, but if you want more to come, ya gotta help me here. I just haven't had the opportunity to send out emails to folks lately.

Opinions?

Sorry, I can't make it. We've set our vacation for Labor Day week, which means we'll be coming home on the 8th or 9th.

Hope I'll catch you next time. \:\(

Well, take my name off the list. My Dad just reminded me about
the yard sale. Just happens to be 6th, 7th and 8th of September.
The 8th being the day we pack the stuff that didn't sell.
This has been planned since Jan. 3rd.

Sorry. I really wanted to come since I missed the one in May.

Maybe next time??

My vote is that if we can't round up approximately 8-10 peeps, we should postpone. That way the die-hards don't feel like they have a lunch bunch to attend every few weeks. Does that make sense??

Yes, it makes total sense to me.

October? November? or December during the holiday?

Well I won't be able to do December during the holiday, unless it's a Saturday because my coworker who said "nobody ever takes off the week between Christmas and New Years" put in for it before I had a chance. I wanted to say "helloooo, i've had off that week for the last 3 freaking years!!", but i'm a nice person and didn't say anything.

So just let me know what dates you guys come up with and I will check my calendar.

Well, during the holiday would be either the 29th or 30th for the weekend, if chosen. That is an option.

Or...

Early November? After TTP, though....so either the weekend of 10/11 or 17/18?

Debby

Either weekend should work for me, I will talk to Lisa.....it's far in advance for her, but i'm sure she'll mark it down and let me know if anything comes up---that is once an actual date is chosen, lol.

Count me in for the Maggiano' lunch. As for the weekend of 9/8 and 9/9 sun is better for me but I can work around my other plans for 9/8. It's my brothers annual Pig Roast. I can go later than I usually do. And count me in for the Romance conference in Oct. I will mark my calander now. I'm looking forward to seeing you guys again.

An intimate group sounds fine to me, but if that isn't workable, then just let us know what other days are do-able and I'll check my calendar. It's a busy one!
