I can attend Sunday September 9th, but I know for sure that Lisa can't---she is hosting a shower for her husbands niece that day.

..and now I am questionable for that weekend (Sept.8/9). That is Elmer's long weekend, and we may be heading south to visit my grandmother as we weren't able to get down for her birthday in June (101st). It all depends on how his side jobs are going, whether or not he can get away.

Well like I said before, you just let me know a date and i'm sure i'll be there, whether it's September, October, November or December.
It doesn't look like we'd have a big group for September anyway, so another month would probably be best.

My availability in the upcoming months...
October - I am only available October 13/14 or 20/21 due NJRWA the first weekend and a family vacation with the munchkins to Williamsburg the last weekend.
November - is November 3rd TTP? If yes, then I am only available November 10/11 or 17/18. 'Cause then is Thanksgiving!!!
December - is looking pretty quiet at the moment. Looking real good are December 8/9, 15/16, 22/23 (just before the holiday), and 29/30 (in between the holidays).

Any weekend in October is okay with me. I'll make it okay. I have no plans for October that I am aware of. So count me in.

An intimate group sounds fine to me, but if that isn't workable, then just let us know what other days are do-able and I'll check my calendar. Why do our get togethers have to be a large group? I don't mind if it's just a few of us. Actually, I like it when it's not so big, because that way I can talk and chit chat/catch up with EVERYONE. Just my take. Next few months are out for me because of my new job. Just wanted to throw in my thoughts.

Get-togethers do not have to be large groups. They can be small or medium, too. We have had groups that ranged in size from 22 at our very first meeting (such fun even though I couldn't speak due to laryngitus), to our third meeting which was just seven of us.
Ultimately, I think it is more that I try to watch out that we aren't having these to often (no closer than every three months) in order to allow for those with tighter budgets a better opportunity to come out.
If you want, have a small one in September. I may or may not be able to attend. And then we can plan one for December...trying to get one in before bad weather arrives (hopefully).
It is up to you.

Debby, Since a bunch of us are going to the NJRWA book fair in October 6th, I would be happy to make a reservation for dinner that day. And that could be the Mid-Atlantic ADWOFFers' quarterly gathering, right? The gathering doesn't have to be at Maggianos--especially with several of us planning to be in Edison that day. The Rainforest Cafe takes reservations (I checked) for large parties. So that's an option. And there's also Benihana . (Would cost @40 each, I think.) I'd nix The Cheesecake Factory because they don't take reservations. Let me know if you'd like me to organize this. And if so, let me know who's coming. Thanks!!

Robyn? I also agree. It sounds like a wonderful idea to have dinner while we are at NJRWA in October. We gotta eat, right? Either restaurant that you mentioned sounds good. I have been to a Benihana in years. And unless the Rainforest Cafe is also at Disney in Florida, then I have never been there.

Cool! Now we have some decisions to make. First off, do we want to have lunch at either restaurant before the signing? Perhaps at 2:00, which gives us 2 hours and change to play with. Or do we want to have dinner after the signing. Perhaps a 6 PM reservation? And we also need to decide where we'd want to eat. Benihana is significantly less expensive for lunch while The Rainforest Cafe, from what I remember, doesn't have different lunch pricing. Everyone, please let me know which location you'd prefer and which time. Thanks!

What type of food does Benihana have? I know they have one down here near where I live, but i've never been there.

I've never been to either place, but as long as I can get non-seafood, I'm good. Thanks for doing this Robyn!

Either place sounds good to me and I agree with roarkeaholic that dinner would be more relaxing and not so rushed.

I'm in for dinner and I spoke to someone who has eaten at Benihana, so that place is fine with me.

Okay, I was going to ignore this last post but.... Red satin panties and I'm easy, ya found me out!!!!! Now that we have discussed dinner plans for NJ, do the ladies that are going to drive together want to think about where to meet, who's driving and from where? I know it's still two months away. Lora

Well... I'll need a headcount for dinner after the NJRWA book fair. Thus far, from prior posts, I gather we have the following people. 1. Robyn 2. Lora 3. Debby 4. Jenn 5. Laura 6. Michelle 7. Geets 8. Andrea Anyone else? I won't make reservations until September--if they take them that far in advance. Also, if we go to Benihana, it'll probably end up being @$40 a person. It's hibachi, where they cook the food in front of you. Here's the menu: Dinner Menu Benihana restaurants are traditional Japanese-style hibachi steakhouses - called "teppanyaki." At Benihana, your meal is prepared and served by performing chef, right at your table. Diners can choose from a variety of fresh sushi and other Japanese favorites. We have time... think about what type of food you want (Japanese Hibachi or California/American style) and I'll be happy to make the reservations.
