I'm sure there'll be a March signing--unless BW moves it to Feb. But we'll have one.
James who? Is he cute? I believe we should see so we can judge for ourselves.
Trying to remember which, but I know you'll see Trina in either Divided or Visions.
Max is pretty adorable, but I leave it to all the girls out there to find there own guys. You'll appreciate him more when you do.
I don't guess I'm sentimental about jewelry. I just like it.
I decided to use Tulla in the In Death after I bought the land. It's such a beautiful area, and I liked thinking Roarke's ancesters sprang from there.
When I'm trying to be discreet, perhaps bopping out incognito, I wear the crown under the hood. Otherwise, I wear it over the hood, so everyone can be dazzled by its shine.
I'm not entirely sure I haven't come face-to-face with a creature not of this world. I meet a lot of people, after all, and some of them don't seem wholly earthbound.
I don't think Stacie read my books before she met Dan. She wasn't as much of a reader back then--we converted her.
Between NY and on-line shopping, I'm just about done with Christmas. Just a few odds and ends left.

Hi Nora! My question from last week was stuck on the other page, before the topic was closed temporarily, so I'll just repost my earlier question: Originally posted by gita: Hi Nora!
Since it's Halloween soon, I was wondering if you'll carve a pumpking for/with Kayla this year and if so, will you use the pumpkin guts to make pie, or does Kayla get to smush them around?
Thanks! Gita ... who'll be going candy shopping soon :blackbat:

Hi Nora, I'm thinking of giving some job counseling to Kirsten. Judging by the collages she made I think she has a strong future in computer art. What do you think? Hugh

Speaking of Trina....do you think Eve will ever get to the point where she runs her fingers through her hair and thinks, "I need to call Trina, I need a haircut?"
Renee<----needs a haircut right now, but since I AM a hairdresser, I'm always last in line.

Hi Nora~ Happy Friday to you. Last week, me, Sue :menace: ,and two friends that I work with, Cindy and Leslie, went to see Shania Twain in Philly. It was a most excellent concert. Shania came out in black pants and a Flyers jersey . Her outfit was accented with a thick diamond choker around her neck and several diamond bracelets around her wrists. My friend Cindy said, "Her jewelry doesn't match her outfit." I said, "When you make as much money as she does, you can wear whatever the heck you want to!" But I thought I'd ask you, Nora, the diamond accessory afficianado: "Is it okay to wear diamonds with a Flyers jersey?"

Hello Nora! I'll admit it, and I'm not even ashamed to do so... I am a trekkie... a huge one. So with that being said, who do you find sexier? Captain Kirk or Captain Jean-Luc Picard? (I'll take Jean-Luc anyday...) :drooling:

Hope you had a nice time in NYC! I am the appointed financial wizard in my house. I budget the income v. expenses, shuffle the bills, write the checks, file them away, invest, etc. BTW, I am self-appointed. DH writes checks about twice a year. Bank proably pulls his sig card everytime. My SQ is: Whose the appointed financial wizard in your house? Sorry - it's all I could come up with. Blame it on TGIF, brain's dead already.

Nora,
A couple of weeks ago while lunching with my boss' lunch pals. I ordered an egg roll and some fries. The lady across from me, disgustedly exclaims, "You can't order fries with an egg roll! They don't go together."
SQ: Is this true?
Personally, I don't care if it does or doesn't. I will an egg roll or fries with just about anything.

Good morning, Nora!
I just bought my first bag of Holloween candy for the holiday. I had to get the bag of Dum-dum suckers cause its not Holloween without your Dum-dum! I love the lime suckers and as I sit here chewing on a lime dum-dum I wonder what flavor you prefer?

Nora... Will you still love me and allow for me to read your books even though I was routing for the Yankees in the World Series?? GO YANKEES! Later!

Dear Nora,
I have a problem. I'm an unpublished teen writer, or more accurately, novelist. My stories are long (82 pages typed is the ranking longest, but my current project will inevitably be longer), and I can't seem to be able to write anything short. A short-story assignment I had for my Creative Writing ended up being TEN pages typed! I guess you could say attached to quantity.
What do you perceive as a reasonable length for a manuscript when you've not yet been published? Also, do you consider it ridiculous for an under-18-year-old to attempt getting published, or am I wasting my time?
-Nessie

No foliage pictures yet. Actually we still have a lot of green here. We're turning and beautifully this year, but I'm afraid a couple of wind and rain storms we've had stripped a lot of the leaves away.
Actually, I always found Mister Spock the sexiest. Something about that repressed emotion, and knowing you'd be the woman to unleash it. Then there's the mind-melding ability. Hot stuff.
I was financial wizard for a zillion years, it seems, and recently passed that wand to BW. Not having to pay the bills is so liberating!
Painting crutches is an excellent idea! Yes to polka dots. Or how about paisley? Or doing a reproduction of some great work of art on them? How many people have Monet or Chigal influenced crutches. You could do a bunch, little cottage industry, and make a fortune! People would break their legs to get a pair.
Please, this meddling woman knows nothing. French fries go with anything at any time.
Cherry Dum Dums.
It's best to eat five and a half pounds of chocolate one piece at a time. It looks unattractive to stick the whole lot in your mouth at once.
Every team has to have fans. It's the nature of the beast, and the right thing. Even the Yankees. And even I have to be impressed, and respect the way they fought back and kicked ass in the late innings of game seven. And still I mourn for what might have been.
I don't know as there's any definitive length for a novel, but 82 pages is more novella length. Most of my novels run from around 450 (paperback originals) to up to 700 or so for the hardcover romantic suspense. Absolutely no reason a young writer can't be published. In fact, I recall a few years ago Putnam published a novel from a 14 year-old girl. Keep writing!
I've enjoyed watching Conan, though it's not often I'm conscious that late at night. Enjoy Will Farrell, too.
