So, Nora,
Would you please share a little more about this David Duchovney/Aruba fantasy?

Nora, How did Stace tell you that she was pregnant? I'm just curious! Did she come out and say it, or do something creative I'm always wondering how to tell my husband once that time comes. It will sure be interesting! Jennifer

Good morning Nora! Here's my stoooooopid question: Was this me in a past life? Me now or another Me then The painting is Johanne Vermeer's "Girl with a Pearl Earring".

Good Morning Nora:
Have you ever seen a Iceberg??? I live in a part of the world where this is commonplace in the spring of the year. Now of course enterprising Newfoundlanders chip off pieces of icebergs and used for bottled water and used in vodka (iceberg vodka) as well as taking tourists out for usual iceberg and whale excursions!!!

Hi, Nora!
I was hanging out with my young niece last week, and eating way too much Laffy Taffy. I was wondering, what's your favorite silly "kid" joke? (as in, knock-knock jokes, bad puns, yadda yadda)

Hi Nora, This is my first stoopid question, and it's a doozie. I belong to a list serve where we discuss the public's perception of romance novels. One of the group pointed out to a disdainful friend "You like Nora Roberts, and she writes romance." to which the reply was "She is a good author, so she can't write romance." Now I am the first to say some of your single titles are more suspence with a good romance included, while others are overtly romance novels. I label the The In Deaths as futuristic police novels with a strong romantic element. But all keep to the traditional HEA ending from romance and include a strong romantic relationship essential to the storyline. My question is how would you reply to the assertion that because you are a "good author" what you write cannot be called romance?

Hello Nora,
My husband and I are expecting our first child in April. We've been spending the last couple of months doing the baby name thing. One of the boy names we like is Mac and our last name is Jackson so he would be Mac Jackson. When I mentioned this name to someone they said "Jees that sounds like a character in a romance novel." Now I love romance novels so I don't really think that's a bad thing and Mac is sort of a family name but some people are put off by the whole rhyming thing. So my question is .... what do you think of the name?

Hello :little_nora: ! After looking at the pics from the signing this last weekend, something occured to me.
Kayla doesn't have any hair. What she does have looks to be very fine and blond. (lucky girl)She's gorgeous btw.
So my SQ: Do we need to do a rain dance type deal so her hair will grow? *You think I can google a rain dance?*

When I have yummy sweets, such as Deb's brownies, I'm very good at rationing them out. Yep, I have some left--better to have a couple a day, like a mid-day pick-me-up and an after-dinner treat, than to gobble them all down then shed a tear over the empty container.
If someone said I can't write Romance because I'm a good writer, I'd appreciate the second half of the statement and point out that she obviously doesn't know much about the genre. It's a very big umbrella with a lot of spokes, and I've selected several of its spokes as frameworks for my books. A love story with emotional commitment, sexual tension, a happy ending--those are the constants of the genre, whichever spoke is chosen. I write Romance.
I like Mac Jackson. Nice strong name. I always like incorporating family names, too.
I'm planning on being at the WRW Bookseller's Lunch, or Tea--whatever it is at the end of the month. The TTP gang--BW, Stacie and Norma--will be there, too.
Mom spit is magic--just like the extra set of eyes in the back of her head. I used both the spit and the eyes whenever the situation called for them.
Actually, Kayla's got a teeny little curl of hair at the base of her neck. So cute. Like her Daddy, and I believe her Mama, too, she's taking her time growing it over the rest of her head. But a hair dance might speed things up.
I think it's only polite--and imagine Miss Manners would agree--to send a thank you note regarding the dream. It's the least you can do. The most being asking said unattached individual out and offering to demonstrate said dream.
The Farmer--as we call him--has the stock, though we don't know the number or name. The stock must enjoy the grass as they've asked to stay. Fine with us. When I visit, I'll wear sturdy pants--and boots. Good, sturdy boots as when the stock eats the grass, they're bound to leave paddies (and I don't mean Padricks) on what's left of the grass.
I've never had an individual invite to the WH, though I have had invites to group dinner things. Never made it.

Hi Nora...
don't know if this is a witty ( or stupid, or whatever ) question, but...for the last few days I've been listening to Vaya Con Dios all the time...Not sure if that's normal, but it's still not a problem..So, my question is, do you like Vaya Con Dios and what's your favorite song of theirs? Mine are What's A Woman and Farewell Song...

Nora, We all know you're a force to be reckoned with. How does it feel to have a force of nature named after you? I'm referring to Tropical Storm Nora, spinning off the coast of Baja right now. ---- Phyllis. Someone already asked the question early in this thread:
From: mistfox:
Ahoy Nora,
How do you feel about having a tropical storm named after you? Tropical storm Nora is now situated in the Pacific Ocean.
Tropical Storm Nora
Mistfox - who never had a storm named for her (yet)
Nora's response:
I think since they named Isabel after my former Silhouette editor and good pal, it's only right I get a hurricane, too. From: SQ XI

Nora, I got an invite to a baby shower yesterday and it asks that I bring, in addition to the gift, a "favorite children's book" for the new baby's library. Since I don't want mommy and baby to end up with 12 copies of Goodnight, Moon and 8 of The Velveteen Rabbit, what's a good book you could recommend (as the Nana of all Nanas) that might not show up as a double? Thank ya, thank ya!
