I know that you are not only queen of words but fashion as well. So my Sq is where is a good place to get quality clothing on a shoe string budget? I am aware of course of Nordstrom's January and July sales.

I get contacted about lots of cruises, so I may have with this one. I'm just saying thanks, but no thanks right now. Really don't feel like traveling very much at the moment, and always block out Jan and Feb for solid writing time.
Fortunately for me, I'm not asked to do many favors. So when I am, and if I can, I don't mind.
Enjoy Mr. Bean. Always good for a laugh.
The Mouse also operates Disneyland, the original people trap.
the old tongue running across the teeth is a kind of amusement, with a touch of sarcasm.
Well, mince meat sounds like chopped up meat to me, too, but apparently it's not. Sort of sweet, fruity stuff, I believe.

The key, I think, to a good party, is having the hostess relaxed and in a partying mood. Add people you like, and who are ready to enjoy themselves, fun food and drink, and you're off and running.
January's a good time to buy clothes. Everybody has sales. If you're looking to build your wardrobe, keep an eye out for basics. Stuff you'll wear again and again, and that can be mixed and matched. And it's always a lift to find that one great outfit or dress.
Gosh, BW and I don't really fight very often--kinda boring really. LOL. And as for major fights, I honestly can't remember the last one. But I know, whatever it was about, he was wrong. Goes without saying, actually.

How do I get my magnet, too? ----- [ADWOFF here: in the SQ thread, we try to keep everything to JUST questions for Nora ... so I'm moving the recipes to the SQ Companion. To answer the question about the magnet, go to http://www.noraroberts.com/free.htm at Nora's site for finding out how to get the magnets.] Sorry sue - wasn't too sure where to put the recipe.

Morning :little_nora: ! I was reading the companion last night and there was an article on you doing a promotional with Diet Coke, and then a couple of pictures of you with Diet Coke in the background. One of your kitchen and a 2 liter in the background too.
Now we all know that it's a Diet Pepsi and a Big Block of Hersheys (no nuts) for the :queen: .
My SQ is when did you make the switch to Diet Pepsi?
Have a Happy New Year!

Mam'zell LaNora, taking the previous question one step further. Lets assume in an alternate-yet parallel universe, you couldn't write worth a damn, BUT.. you are a damn spiffy actress. What movie would you like to be in, and what character in that movie would you want to play? :cutewink:
Previously asked? :bigokay:

First SQ of 2004--Why do the Alphabet Song and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star have the same tune?
Now you're probably wanting to :bootyshake: since the songs are running through your head now!

In the Key Series, Simon plays Grand Theft Auto III. Did you do the research on this game or did Dan and Jason help you. My boys love this game by the way.

Happy New Year! A couple friends of mine started a Nora Roberts/JD Robb Yahoo group. It's still kinda small right now (only been up and running for a couple weeks) but was hoping you could shock them and drop by sometime?? http://groups.yahoo.com/group/noraroberts_jdrobb/

My question is simple and direct. How sauced did you get this year?

Happy New Year, Nora! I have a question about your writing process. You have said that you stop at the end of the day and have dinner and a normal life. Can you stop in the middle of a good/tense/dramatic/sexy/heartwrenching/etc scene? If Eve is close to getting the bad guy, and BW says What's for dinner, do you stop or do you tell him to fix himself a sandwich, you're busy?

Well, you gotta love GWTW for Gable, but I'm soft on It Happened One Night. As for Grant, Bringing up Baby is top of my list, followed closely by The Philadelphia Story.
Hmm, in this alternate universe--and since we're into more Golden Age actors--I might like to be in any movie where I could get kissed by the gorgeous Gregory Peck. Handsomest man every born, with the sexiest mouth.
These sons have the same melody so those without much musical ability can still manage to sing them to their kids.
Dan helped me out a bit with Grand Theft Auto.
Hope you're having fun with the chat room group. I'll drop in if I can, but life's pretty crowded around here just now.
Did not get sauced at all. No can do when I have this big open house deal on New Year's Day. Hard to happily hostess and deal with lots of visiting pals and family with a hangover.
There are times I leave BW to fend for himself due to writing demands, but they're few and far between. Real life is pretty important, and it takes time and effort to maintain. And because the times I do are rare, he cheerfully fends when asked to do so.

Nora,
Do you work on one story at a time from start to finish or do you work on more than one at a time, like in a given day, work on one story for awhile, then switch to another one you have going?
